Warren Picks Up First Win

Published: Oct 10, 2017

After being out game planned last week with the highest raw score, Tim Always Pulls Out Late finally picked up his first win with a 40-0 victory over Sean Taylor's Ashes.  Deshaun Watson scored 36 in the victory.  It leaves Don still struggling for his first win.  Sean Taylor's Ashes have now lost 11 straight games.

After last week's loss the Woodland Rangers got back on track with a 43-19 victory over the Crusaders.  It's the second straight year that the Rangers have defeated the Crusaders, after having lost all previous meetings before Derek took over.  The Crusaders drop a game behind the Gallic Warriors in the division, while the Rangers keep pace in the incredibly strong White Division.

With the stumbles in the first two weeks the Fighting Squirrels have been fighting their way back into the division, they continue that with a third straight win, this time over the Sacks on the Beach, 32-17.  Dak Prescott led the way with 4 touchdowns.  The Sacks fall further behind in the White Division, in a week where the rest of the division won.

In the opposite of the White Division, the Burgundy Division appears to be historically week.  All four teams lost this week and no one is above .500 after five weeks.  The Norsemen fell to the only remaining undefeated team, the Fightin' Bitin' Beavers, 58-8.  Richard's Lionhearts lost to the MeggaMen for the third straight time, 33-3.  And the Amish Electricians were downed by the Gallic Warriors, 9-3.

Next week there are pivotal battles in the White Division, as all four teams play games in the division.  The Beavers take on the Sacks, while the MeggaMen and Rangers rematch last season's championship game.  Sean Taylor's Ashes look for their first win of the season against the Norsemen, while the Gallic Warriors and Squirrels play for first in the Gold Division.  The odds look good for Warren to pick up his first win against Josh since 2009 and Jon tried to avoid a three game losing streak when the Crusaders take on the Lionhearts.
