Trophy Stolen

It is clear at this point that the trophy has been stolen by the Norsemen. Eleven months after losing the rights to the trophy Byron has still refused to turn it over. Ideas on penalties for recovery of the league's only asset are being considered. Initial ideas range from being waterboarded by Dick Cheney or being forced to watch Rosie O'Donnell and Kathy Bates pudding wrestle. Meanwhile the games continue.

The Trophy Thieves needed a win to remain relevant in the playoff picture as they took on the Ravaging Camel Clutch. In spite of Eli Manning's miserable -5 point game, the Norsemen came away with a convincing 82-13 win. They sweep the RCC for the first time since 2009. With the loss, the RCC fall a game behind the pace for the wild card. In that wild card position, the Werewolves took on the Gold Division leading Crusaders. While both teams struggled this week, the Werewolves were victorious 24-3. It lifts the Werewolves to 7-3 and keeps them within a game of the division lead. The Crusaders remain atop their division, but need to have a strong finish to stay there.

To hold on to the best record in the league, the Mansfield Onanists pulled one out against the MeggaMen, 46-37. The MeggaMen are at risk of finishing last in their division for the first time ever. Their 3-7 record is a franchise worst after 10 games. Helping the MeggaMen out is that the division leader is only at .500. The Pretend I'm Not Here and the Sacks on the Beach had to battle it out to determine which team that would be. The Sacks won 44-17, beating the Pretend for the 14th time in their last 15 games. As a result the Pretend fall a game behind the Sacks. The Woodland Rangers also sit a game out after their 35-0 shutout of the Fighting Squirrels. With three games left among division foes the Rangers have a shot at the playoffs.

Finally, the Whiskey Tango battle back from their horrible start to the season to win a fifth straight game, beating the Gallic Warriors 53-23. The Whiskey Tango find themselves tied for the division lead with the Crusaders. The Gallic Warriors find themselves in the opposite position, after a very promising start have dropped five straight games. They sit two games behind the division leaders.

As we head into the final four games there are some intriguing games. The Onanists and the Werewolves will determine control of the Burgundy Division as they meet for the sixth time. Facing must win situations for both teams the MeggaMen play the Norsemen, the loser will most likely be eliminated from playoffs. The Warriors also have a must win against the Rangers, who are looking to win back-to-back games for the first time in franchise history. The Crusaders play the Pretend while the Whiskey Tango take on the Squirrels. The Sacks try to stay in first as they take on the RCC.
