Sneaky Sacks Edge Ridiculous Ravaging

Robbie Gould's lone XP on Monday night sends the Sacks on the Beach to victory over the Ravaging Camel Clutch.

In a win that never shoulda been, Mike’s Sacks ride Brady to the bank, sneaking past RCC on Monday night. The “F-Bomb” combo of Forte & Foster failed to drop on the Sacks, and Tim’s only MNF hope sat on the bench, due to the owner’s curious decision to go with underperforming Celek (with a shitty backup QB) over Vernon Davis (with a surprisingly great backup QB) at the tight end position. With the win, the Sacks keep pace ahead of the Rangers for the least-awful team in the most-awful division. The teams face off in week 13, possibly deciding the playoff spot.

In other, less-surprising owner oversights, the Norsemen’s 3-WR set failed to produce against Tom’s MeggaMen, while the bench-riding Stephens-Howling racked up the yards and points that would have kept Byron’s team out of the Burgundy basement.

In a key divisional match-up, Matt Schaub’s massive game sends the Onanists to their defeat against Josh’s Werewolves. The win gives Josh the edge atop the Burgundy division, and couple with Tim’s defeat, sets up a two-man race. Elsewhere, PNH pulled out to an early lead but were easily put away by the Crusaders. Hall’s victory -- which also saw the loss of tight end Gronkowski, perhaps for the season -- keeps him a step ahead of the Tango for the Gold division. Warren’s squad handily defeated the Squirrels despite a tepid offensive performance. With three tough match-ups remaining the Tango have an uphill battle to a playoff spot, including a final week matchup against the Crusaders that might determine the division.

The short week means loosening the belt, opening the wallet, and getting ready for a push to the playoffs for some but roster-dumping and deal-making time for others. With a number of divisional match-ups on other key games to play, the division titles and the wild card are up in the air. Tim has an opportunity to climb back into consideration against division rival Josh, and the Onanists and Tango meet in what is almost a must-win game for Warren, with Hall’s Crusaders cakewalking to those teams’ final week showdown.
