Woodland Rangers Make Last Week Interesting
Marc's shot at becoming the first rookie owner to make the playoffs since Tom in 2000 took a huge step forward with a shutout victory over the Sacks On the Beach, 24-0. The two teams are now tied for the White Division title. With approriate wins elsewhere, the Woodland Rangers also ensure they will hold the strength of victory tie-breaker and therefore win the division if they end tied. At the bottom of the division, the MeggaMen defeated the Pretend I'm Not Here, 36-15. Most likely it means the MeggaMen will avoid the Toilet Bowl, although they will lose if the two teams end tied.
The RCC dominated the Whiskey Tango winning 79-0. But Warren is use to being dominated by Tim, so no suprise there. No really, since taking over the Whiskey Tango 10 seasons ago, Warren has only beat Tim once. The win keeps the RCC alive not only for the wild card but the division as well. It also sets-up yet another end of year battle for the Gold Division title. The Crusaders also did their part to force that, beating the Gallic Warriors, 61-38.
With a 51-11 victory over the Fighting Squirrels, the Werewolves lock up at least the wild card spot. At the same time the Norsemen beat the Mansfield Onanists, but find themselves eliminated from playoff contention.
The playoff picture becomes pretty clear. The wild card will definitely come from the Burgundy division and the winner of the division will be the #1 seed. The Werewolves have clinched a playoff spot and will win the division with a win or tie vs the Norsemen or RCC loss or tie. The RCC will take the division and #1 with a win and Werewolves loss. Even without winning the division, the RCC make the playoffs with a win or tie over the Onanists. The Onanists get the wild card with a win.
The Gold Division winner will be the #2 seed and play the wild card team. The title will go to the winner of the Crusaders and Whiskey Tango, a tie and the Crusaders will take the title. The #3 seed will be the winner of the White Division. The Woodland Rangers will take it with a win over the Pretend or a Sacks loss to the MeggaMen, or if both teams tie. The Sacks will win the division with a win and Rangers loss or tie OR a tie and a Ranger loss.
Both Toilet Bowl positions also come down to the last game. The Squirrels and the Gallic Warriors face off head-to-head, the loser heads to the shitter, a tie and the Squirrels will be there. In the other position, the Pretend go back to the Toilet Bowl with a loss or tie or MeggaMen win or tie. The MeggaMen could still go with a loss and a Pretend win.
