MeggaMen Escape For Second Straight Win
For the second week in a row the MeggaMen won a division match-up by 2 points. This time Vincent Jackson's 144 yard game helped the MeggaMen to a 12-10 win over the Woodland Rangers. The win last week over the Sacks ended a miserable 1 for 9 regular season dought for the MeggaMen. It's the third straight victory over the Rangers for the MeggaMen and 7th in their 9 meetings.
In another close game the Joe Gibbs Good Head defeated the Sacks on the Beach, 30-28. It took until the final drive on Monday night for the Good Head to get the win. They remain the only undefeated team in the league at 4-0-1. But with a luck rating that indicates almost two extra wins it remains to see how long they stay that way.
The other undefeated team coming into the weekend was the Mansfield Onanists. They fell to the Pretend I'm Not Here, 27-5, behind the Bear's combination of Jay Cutler and Matt Forte who combined for 29 points. The Pretend seem to be back on track having won thier last three games after an 0-2 start. This victory was the first time the Pretend have ever defeated the Onanists.
In other games the Whiskey Tango beat Sean Taylor's Ashes, 49-32, to advance to 2-3. Sean Taylor falls to 1-4. The two teams atop the power rankings, the Gallic Warriors and the Fighting Squirrels met with the Warriors coming out on top, 39-32. The last time the Gallic Warriors started 4-1, they lost their next 9 to finish the season 4-10. The final game featured the Norsemen and the Crusaders. The most played non-division rivalary.
