MeggaMen Edge Out Sacks

Published: Nov 10, 2015

In an important game in the White Division, the Sacks on the Beach took on the MeggaMen.  Antonio Brown pushed him forward with 35 points.  Going into Monday night the Sacks needed 31 out of Danny Woodhead and Alshon Jeffery.  They got close going into the final drive, until Philip Rivers started stinking it up again and ended the game.  The Sacks fell 3 point short, losing 52-49.  The MeggaMen win their fifth straight game and take a 13-12 all-time head to head lead over the Sacks.

With the MeggaMen winning, the Pretend I'm Not Here needed to win to stay within a game.  They faced off against the Whiskey Tango.  In one of the more surprising results of the season, Warren defeated the Wards, 35-27.  The loss drops the Pretend two games behind the MeggaMen with a loss in the tiebreaker.

The other White Division team, the Woodland Rangers, reasserted that they aren't giving up.  A week after a record performance, Drew Brees scored another 30 points to lift the Rangers to a 70-36 victory over Sean Taylor's Ashes.  It's the third straight year the Rangers have defeated Tim.

In the Burgundy Division, the Amish Electricians easily defeated the Mansfield Onanists.  The Amish now has an all-time record of 8-2-1 vs Mansfield.  The only team in the Burgundy that has a winning record is the Norsemen as they defeat the Crusaders, 56-26.  Aaron Rodgers scored 32 for the Crusaders, but that got largely cancelled out by Cam Newton's 29 for the Norsemen.  It is Byron's first victory over Hall since 2008.

The final game was a close one between the Fighting Squirrels and the Gallic Warriors.  Lamar Miller and Michael Crabtree scored big to give the Squirrels a 57-53 victory.  The Fighting Squirrels get the season sweep over the Gallic Warriors first the first time since 1999, when the teams were owned by Warren and Ira Frankel.

We haven't been hounding people for entry fees the last couple of years, but there are two teams that still owe entry fees and in fact haven't paid for last year either.  The Mansfield Onanists currently owe $141.53 and the Woodland Rangers owe $130.05.
