Sean Taylor's Ashes Wins Division

Published: Dec 15, 2015

For the third straight week Sean Taylor's Ashes came back to win on Monday Night.  This time Ndamukong Suh scored 4 points to give them a 39-36 victory over the Norsemen.  The win secures them the Burgundy Division title, Tim's first since 2011.  It is also their first trip to the playoffs since then.

Another game with playoff implications also came down to Monday night.  The Sacks On the Beach were able to hold off the Pretend I'm Not Here, 47-40, to claim the wild card spot.  The Sacks are headed to the playoffs for the 11th time.  The Fighting Squirrels were hoping for a Sacks loss.  Their 38-0 win over the Whiskey Tango left them in position to grab the wild card if the Sacks had lost.

In the battle for the Toilet Bowl, there were a couple games of importance.  The Amish Electricians beat the Mansfield Onanists, 45-38, to ensure that they would no fall from the first to the Toilet Bowl.  That was coupled with a Woodland Rangers being shutout by the MeggaMen, 39-0.  Which sends the Woodland Rangers to thier third straight Toilet Bowl and fourth overall.

The final game was mostly meaningless.  The Crusaders beat the Gallic Warriors for the third straight time, winning 44-40.  The Crusaders will be the #2 seed in the playoffs.

Playoffs

#1 seed goes to the MeggaMen by virtue of their 12-2 record.

#2 seed goes to the Crusaders with an 11-3 record.

#3 seed goes to the final division winner, Sean Taylor's Ashes at 8-6.

The wild card and #4 seed was a tie between the Sacks on the Beach and the Fighting Squirrels.  The Sacks win the tiebreaker on head to head, with a week 11 victory.

Since the MeggaMen and Sacks are in the same division, the playoff matchup switch to #1 vs #3 and #2 vs #4.  So the MeggaMen play Sean Taylor's Ashes and the Crusaders will meet Sacks on the Beach.

For the Toilet Bowl.

Whiskey Tango ends with the pitiful record of 3-11.  The second position is between Pretend I'm Not Here and Woodland Rangers, both at 5-9.  They split their regular season match-ups so the Pretend win the tie breaker on division record, 2-4 vs 1-5.  Thus the Woodland Rangers finish 4th and in the Toilet Bowl.
