MeggaMen Set Consecutive Win Record
The MeggaMen won their record setting 14th straight game in unremarkable fashion. They didn't get great performances from any of their players but did get solid performances from everyone. The highest scorer was DeAndre Hopkins (WR-HOU) at 14 points. But it was enough for a 39-13 win against the Woodland Rangers. It marks the 7th straight time they have defeated the Rangers. In addition to the 14 game overall win streak they have a 12 game regular season winning streka which is the second longest ever. They are four games away from that record.
Remaining undefeated with the MeggaMen were both the Crusaders and the Sacks on the Beach. The Crusaders scored big behind Matt Forte (RB-NYJ) and Travis Benjamin (WR-SD) for the high score of the week leaving the Gallic Warriors wasting a solid 100 point performance. The Crusaders won 37-14. Meanwhile, the Sacks on the Beach survived a sluggish performance primarily because Sean Taylor's Ashes got 26 from Matt Ryan (QB-ATL) and about the same from the rest of the team combined. The final score was 36-13.
The Amish Electricians recovered from last week to pick up a win from the Mansfield Onanists for the fourth straight time. Winning 37-19. The Onanists have now dropped five straight. Also moving up to 1-1, the Norsemen scored big against the Whiskey Tango, 66-13. Warren is now on a eight game losing streak. Also on a long losing streak the Pretend I'm Not Here have lost their 10 in a row, tied for the fifth worst regular season streak. The 21-0 loss to the Fighting Squirrels moves the Squirrels to 1-1.
This week's schedule has the Pretend trying to break their losing streak against the Amish and the Whiskey Tango trying to end theirs against the 2-0 Crusaders. The other undefeated teams play outside their division, as the MeggaMen take on Sean Taylor's Ashes and the Sacks play the Squirrels. The Onanists try and pick up their first win of the season against the Rangers and the Norsemen try to extend their ten year domination of the Gallic Warriors.
