Undefeateds Fall and Another Tie

Published: Oct 13, 2016

The league record winning streak finally comes to an end.  The MeggaMen fall to the Whiskey Tango 41-34, for their first loss in 16 games.  Philip Rivers scored 27 to ensure the victory.  The MeggaMen's last loss came in week 4 of last season to the Crusaders.  Also going down to their first defeat the Sacks on the Beach lost 32-27 to the Woodland Rangers.  This moves the Rangers back to within a game of the division with a matchup with the MeggaMen looming this week.

For the second time this season a game ended in a tie.  The Crusaders and the Mansfield Onanists ended in a 45-45 draw.  The Onanaists were unable to find a LB that wasn't on a bye so played a bye week player and took a 2 point penalty.  Even a 0 would have won them the game.  It's the Crusaders first tie since 2010.

In other games, the Norsemen and the Amish Electricians easily handled the Sean Taylor's Ashes and Fighting Squirrels, respectively.  The Norsemen winning 47-15 and the Amish 73-24.  That leaves the Amish atop the Burgundy Division at 3-2, with the Norsemen in second, half a game back.  The entire division is separated by only 1.5 games.

Finally the Pretend I'm Not Here are still looking for their first win of the season as they fell to the Gallic Warriors, 50-30.  The Pretend's losing streak has now reached 13 games, the second longest in league history.  Unfortunately their upcoming schedule isn't easy as the next two weeks are against division rivals Sacks On the Beach and Woodland Rangers.

It should also be noted that Byron has still not paid his entry fee and his current fee is $96.66.  So everyone please mock him until he makes his payments.  Of course if it is not paid by week 8 the Norsemen will lose playoff elgibility.
