Onanists over Pretend in Tight One
The Mansfield Onanists edged the Pretend I'm Not Here 14-13 in a low scoring affair. Travis Kelce was the big scorer in the game garnering 13 points. The Onanists are now 6-1 all-time against Pretend.
In a game featuring two teams vying for playoff spots, the Woodland Rangers got a 36 point performance out of Derek Carr to beat the Gallic Warriors 82-36. The loss ends the Warrior's five game unbeaten streak, their longest since 2013. The 5-3 record through eight games is a franchise best for the Rangers.
In a division rival game, the Amish Electricians defeated the Norsemen for the fifth time in their last six meetings. The 27-0 shutout gives the Amish a 1.5 game lead on the division. The Norsemen suffered a devistating -10 by their offensive line and were only able to total 49 points, that team's worst performance since week 4 of 2001. (Yes 2001, that is not a typo) A week where they only activated 9 players. Sean Taylor's Ashes tried to stay within two games of the division race with a 52-4 win over the Fighting Squirrels. Both teams now sit at 3-5.
In the Gold Division the Crusaders crushed the Whiskey Tango, 100-0. I could pretend that it was because Warren had a lineup violation, but since Mario Williams' replacement wasn't going to score 104 you know that would just be bullshit. The Crusaders had six players go double digits and the Whiskey Tango did, well, um, I don't know, I'm struggling to find something good here. Look Warren got his ass kicked time to move on.
In a major game atop the White Division, the MeggaMen proved why they are still the defending champions. They beat the Sacks on the Beach 36-26 to take a two game lead on the division. The MeggaMen are now 4-0 in their division, while the Sacks fall to 0-3. These two teams have split their regular season meetings every year since they were put in the same division. Their second meeting this year is in week 14.
This week's games feature a number of top tier teams meeting up. The White Division leading MeggaMen take on the tied for Gold Division lead Gallic Warriors. The Amish Electricians and the Woodland Rangers meet up and the Crusaders play the Sacks on the Beach. Other games include a division match-ups between the Mansfield Onanists and Sean Taylor's Ashes, as well as the Fighting Squirrels and Whiskey Tango. Finally the Pretend I'm Not Here look for their second win of the season, against the Norsemen.
