Amish Beat Out Crusaders

Published: Nov 15, 2016

In a match-up of division leaders the Amish Electricians defeated the Crusaders, 23-21.  The game was not decided until the fourth quarter of Monday night as Jason Pierre-Paul picked up four points to swing the outcome of the game.  Le'Veon Bell was the big scorer of the game racking up 24 points for the Amish.  Aaron Rodgers scored 22 in the Crusader's loss.  The Crusaders have lost their last two games.

The co-division leader with the Crusaders, the Gallic Warriors played division rival Whiskey Tango.  They compensated for a low week from Brady with big scores out of LaGarrette Blount and their wide recievers.  The Warriors won 62-40, beating the Whiskey Tango for the fourth straight time.  The win moves the Gallic Warriors a game up on the Crusaders for the division lead.  They meet in two weeks.

The MeggaMen shutout the Fighting Squirrels, 54-0.  Giving them their 21st victory in the last 22 games.  With four games to go, the MeggaMen have a shot at setting the league record of 13 wins in a season.  With a two game lead over the next closest teams in the division and with all the tie-breakers, they seem headed to their second straight division title.

In a huge match-up for the playoff race the Woodland Rangers beat the Sacks On the Beach, 96-66.  It's the first time that the Rangers have swept the Sacks.  The loss puts the Sacks in a tough spot, they trail the MeggaMen by three games and lose any tie-breaker so the division title seems almost impossible.  They trail the Rangers for the wild card by a game but lose the tie-breaker so they need the Rangers to lose twice.  The Rangers schedule certainly favors them having a strong finish as they don't face another team with a winning record.

The Pretend I'm Not Here are making a case to avoid the Toilet Bowl as they won their second straight game, beating out Sean Taylor's Ashes, 21-16.  The loss drops the STA two games behind the Burgundy Division lead, although they play the Amish this week.  A win there also gives them the tiebreaker and will ensure that division race goes down to the final three weeks.  Also in the Burgundy Division, the Norsemen beat the Mansfield Onanists, 40-0.

It's still a bit early for playoff spots to be wrapped up.  The MeggaMen can clinch the division with a win and a Woodland Rangers.
