MeggaMen Beat Amish, Both Clinch Divisions

Published: Nov 29, 2016

The MeggaMen posted the highest score of the week, to win their 7th straight game, beating the Amish Electricians 52-31. The win secures their second straight White Division title and third in four years. Overall it is their seventh division title. The MeggaMen have also guaranteed the #1 seed. With events in other games, the Amish also lock up their division. Giving them their eight division title. They have won the Burgundy Division in each of the last 4 even seasons (2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016).

Another team, the Woodland Rangers also captured a playoff spot. They beat Sean Taylor's Ashes, 45-31, to lock up the wild card and the franchise's first playoff spot. After three straight Toilet Bowl appearances Derek has really turned the team around.

The other division had a critical game this week with the division leaders, Crusaders and Gallic Warriors meeting. The Gallic Warriors put up strong defensive performance to earn the shutout. Their offense was somewhat lacking but they were able to win 1-0 and take a game lead on the Crusaders. The Warriors could clinch the division this week with a win and Crusaders loss.

Both the Fighting Squirrels and the Sacks on the Beach came into the week needing wins and help from other teams to stay alive for the playoffs. Both teams did what they needed to, but didn't get the help that they needed and are now eliminated. The Sacks beat the Pretend I'm Not Here, 50-2. While the Squirrels beat the Norsemen 46-14. The Norsemen will miss the playoffs for the third straight season.

In a game primarily with Toilet Bowl implications, the Whiskey Tango beat the Mansfield Onansists, 40-24. The Onanists are now guaranteed thier worst record since 2010.

Next week the biggest games feature the MeggaMen vs the Crusaders and the Sacks vs the Warriors. The MeggaMen are looking for their 12th win and the Crusaders need a win to have a shot at the division. The Whiskey Tango and Pretend meet to help resolve the Toilet Bowl race, maybe. The Pretend will definitely be in with a loss, a Whiskey Tango loss will leave both spots wide open. At the same time the Sean Taylor's Ashes and Mansfield Onanist will also determine a lot. A Onanist loss will almost certainly leave them in the Toilet Bowl and definitely if Warren wins. A loss by Tim will leave at least four teams open for the spot. The Norsemen and the Amish meet. The Amish playing for seeding and the Norsemen trying to avoid a slim chance to the Toilet Bowl. Finally the Rangers and Squirrels play.
