MeggaMen Fall Short of Record, Tie Sacks
In what can only be described as a down week across the league the MeggaMen managed only 70 points in their final game of the season. They had a chance to become the first team in league history to win 13 games in a season. But Brees went negative and Ajayi and DeAndre Hopkins were held scoreless. The result was a 15-15 tie with the Sacks on the Beach and they were almost lucky to salvage that. One more reception by Malcolm Mitchell, or one more penalty by New England and they would have fallen. Instead they finish 12-1-1, second best record ever, behind the 1996 Crusaders who finished 12-1.
With the playoff teams settled, there was only positioning to play for. The Gallic Warriors met up with the Whiskey Tango and they I don't know I guess rested their starters. With Brady and Blount on the bench, his offense didn't show up. Most likely playing for the #3 seed to face the MeggaMen instead of the Woodland Rangers. The Warriors put in a pitifully embarrassing 36 point performance to fall 6-0. At the same time the Amish Electricians beat the Mansfield Onanists 30-8. The result makes the Amish the #2 seed and the Warriors the #3 seed.
The Woodland Rangers played the Pretend I'm Not Here, neither team had anything specific to play for. The Woodland Rangers are locked into #4 playoff and the Pretend are headed to the Toilet Bowl. The Woodland Rangers managed to win 12-4 in an ugly performance. They only scored 45 points completely unworthy of a playoff team. It almost cost them the overall points title. They came into the week with a 58 point lead, but only won it by 7 points. They are hoping that is only a one week anomaly otherwise it will be short playoff trip.
The last thing unsettled was the final Toilet Bowl spot. The final two candidates were the Norsemen and Sean Taylor's Ashes. The Norsemen won, 36-0, sweeping the season series. Sending Tim to the Toilet Bowl for the first time since 2009.
