In the first year under new owner Derek Inman, the Woodland Rangers capture their first title.  They easily defeated the defending champion MeggaMen, 63-27.  The Rangers netted five players that went double digits.  Including three on Sunday and Monday, to pull away after the MeggaMen had pulled to within a point.  Derek Carr (QB-OAK) left the game injured but not before three touchdowns and 20 points.  But the MVP goes to Jordy Nelson (WR-GB), with 9 receptions, 154 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Nelson becomes the first player to win the Championship MVP three times.  He won in 2014 with Joe Gibbs Good Head and 2011 with the Whiskey Tango.

The Rangers end the season winning nine of their last ten games.  They end an eight game losing streak to the MeggaMen, as well as the MeggaMen's 10 game unbeaten streak.  They become the third team in league history to have the #1 pick and then win the Championship in the same season.  (2008 Sacks on the Beach and 2014 Joe Gibbs Good Head).
