The draft has been selected to be held on Saturday, August 26th.  It will be held online beginning at 1:00.  As a result protections will be due at 11:59 pm on August 20th.

The informal consensus on the number of teams seems to be to not find two replacements and to drop down to ten teams.  So if no one has major objections we'll just move ahead with 10.

That does necessitate some form of realignment.  In the past when we had ten teams we had two divisions.  That's the obvious move, alternatively we could go to a single division with the top four teams making the playoffs and five regular season games determined dynamically based on team's records.  I'd like to hear thoughts on those two options.
