On to the Playoffs
Other than seeding, the only real drama in the final week of the season was around who would get in from the Burgundy Division. The drama was quickly erased as the Amish Electricians demolished the Norsemen, 92-4. Le'Veon Bell was game planned for and scored 58. It gives the Amish thier ninth division title and third in four years. The Amish will be seeded third in the playoffs.
The other division that was still up for grabs was the White Division, although both teams had already secured a playoff spot. The Fitin' Bitin' Beavers edged out the Sacks on the Beach, 61-57 after a 16 point Monday night. Through this franchise's six owners this is only the second division title and fourth playoff trip. They also become the first team other than the Sacks or the MeggaMen to ever win the White Division. The Sacks go into the playoffs as the wild card, earning thier 12th playoff apperance.
The Crusaders had locked up their division last week, but went on to win over the Gallic Warriors 44-23. Coupled with the Sacks loss give the Crusaders the #1 seed. The Gallic Warriors end the season 7-7, along with ... well almost everyone else. Five teams landed at .500.
There was still some question over who would fall to the second Toilet Bowl spot. Tim Always Pulls Out Late got the win that they needed, if they were going to avoid the Toilet Bowl, 69-23 over the Fighting Squirrels. But they also need the MeggaMen to lose, which didn't happen. Tom continued his regular season dominance over the Woodland Rangers, winning his 10th straight regular season game against them. This time the score was 74-28. That leaves both teams at 7-7 and sends Warren to the Toilet Bowl with a 6-8 record.
The final game had no impact on the standings but Don needed to win to avoid having the worst season in league history. He was able to pull it out against Richard's Lionhearts, 24-12, to pick up his first win. The Sean Taylor's Ashes will end the season at 1-12-1. They have one more game in the Toilet Bowl. It also ends the league record longest non-winning streak at 19 games.
