The big story of Matchday 2 was the battle of the last two champions which saw Testudos Revenge beat the Amish Electricians and send the defending champs to 0-2. It was a trademark offensive display by The Revenge with 46 points between the two wide receivers of Stefon Diggs and JuJu S-S. It was too much for The Electricians who could only put up a modest 59 points on offense – almost all from QB Stafford. The Electricians fall to 0-2 and Testudos sit 1-1.

The other team joining the champs winless after two are Sacks on the Beach. Nothing really happened for them on offense with only Brees and Cooper hitting double digits. Richard’s Lionhearts did a job on them on Sunday afternoon with bounce back games for Matty Ryan and Travis Kelce. Lionheart’s sit 1-1.

Trump Molest Collies sit unbeaten, a 2-0 record secured with a comprehensive win against The Fighting Squirrels. Warren nailed his team selection with a raft of offensive consistency. Todd Gurley’s 3 touchdown, 2 2-point outing got him 23 points alone. The Squirrels had the strongest OL of the week, but when the OL is your top scorer you might be in trouble. Only 5 points from their RBs over the first two matchdays must be a concern

In the closest game of the weekend, The Meggamen edged out Gallic Warriors by a single point, to move to 2-0. The Kevin Byard TD was influential in this game along with good outings by WRs TY Hilton and Michael Thomas. Needing 11 points from Khalil Mack on MNF the turnaround was always unlikely for The Warriors but they gave it a good go. Just one more tackle was required to get the tie.

Jon and his Crusaders needed a win to get off the mark – and they got one – somehow. The Green Bay trio of Rogers, Crosby and McCarthy score more than 50% of their offense points. Sean Taylor’s Ashes, after a strong week 1 will rue losing this game. 34 points from Kirk Cousins and Sweet FA from anyone else – let’s not mention the AJ Green bench points! Fourteen defensive points was the lowest score this week. Both teams are at 1-1

Probably the highest quality game this week was when the Norsemen took on The Fightin Bitin Beavers. FBB posed a good score. Four guys scoring 10+, 7 guys scoring 8+, a week that on a typical matchday probably would win….and they nearly did this week. However, Byron stepped up with a very nice collective performance. It was a case of Sweet Carolina as McCaffrey and Cam Newton amassed 41 offensive points. Both teams should be looking forward at 1-1.

Next week there is a big Burgundy Division match between the Electricians and Norsemen. In the Gold Division high flying TMC take on a struggling Crusaders. MeggaMen should be confident in beating Richard’s Lionhearts and their F grade draft team. FBB take on STA, The Squirrels go up against Sack on the Beach and The Gallic Warriors take on this week’s star team Testudos Revenge.

All starts tonight as the Browns meet the Jets
