Lights, camera, action for Trump Molests Collies
Much like a vintage movie we have seen it repeatedly, 4 times in fact this season, but it wasn't a cinema blockbuster TCM showed us, it was an offensive block(ing) buster. The league is bedazzled by the TCM start and it's not down to Liz Hurley but down to Todd Gurley and a 23 point hit. How many weeks will this feature spend at number 1 - maybe 17? They go 5-0 after a good win against the still fairly impressive Testudos Revenge
DIVISIONAL MATCHUP ALERT
The Fightin Bitin Beavers move to 4-1 with a shoot out against the MeggaMen. It was the defense that did the job for FBB with three double digit defensive hauls (Ingram, Jones and Vander Esch). Defensive blobs for the MeggaMen who are 2-3 and joint bottom of the White
The Amish Electricians, oh dear what can the matter be? Much like the Eagles the defending champs have got a bit of a hangover (tip to Josh - stick to the bud light instead of those crafty ones you prefer). Not the greatest game to be honest but Sacks on the Beach won't care - even with just two double digit scores (Rivers and Brown) they snuck past the Electricians 27-18 and move to 2-3
The Norseman and The Gallic Warriors, both on 2-2 met this week in a tight game. It was still up in the air on Monday night with Norsemen needing a double digit score from Alvin Kamara to give him a chance - remarkably even though the team scored 40+, he blobbed with just 39 yards. Fairplay to the Gallic Warriors who did something pretty remarkable and overcame a week where both running backs got negative scores. Brady and Ebron both got 20+ and in the end they went to 3-2 with a 5 point victory
And atop of the Burgundy division are the debutants of last year Richard's Lionhearts and Sean Taylor's Ashes. Lionhearts won a pretty crumby match against the Crusaders (2-3), with a top score of 11 points from Mixon. However, Crusaders were woefully reliant on Rodgers who got 27 points and scored 43% of their points. It could be all so different if Mason Crosby hadn't left his kicking boots at home. Lionhearts move to 3-2
Nice victory for Sean Taylors Ashes against Fighting Squirrels mainly down to a good defensive effort - 16 points from TJ Watt being a highlight. Jones and Green as WRs, watch out for STA as we move through the season. The Squirrels are at a disappointing 1-4. Not much to say on them this week - but hopeful for them Big Ben can keep his good momentum going forward
All starts again tonight with the Eagles vs the Giants
