Where there’s a Will (Fuller) there’s a way

The all British battle did not disappoint as the Lionhearts and the Bulldogs squared off in a classic.

The Bulldogs had a great Thursday night with a classy performance by Russell Wilson taking them to a 30 point lead as the main slate got underway.

Will Fuller put in an time performance (217 yards, 14 receptions, 3 touchdowns) for 43 points – it was a very timely first selection by the cunning manager Lawson and it was further supported by Tommy Terrific and Zane Gonzalez in mounting the score for the Lionhearts. However the Bulldogs also did well on Sunday and kept a solid lead.

The Carolina OL, Sony Michel and double digit tackling performance by Danny Trevethan put things on a knife edge going into Sunday Night Football.

The Bulldogs led by 23 with no players remaining, the Lionhearts had 4 left including star TE Travis Kelce.  And after a 3 catch, 55yd 1 st quarter I was delighted. And then things just stopped. And it was not till the last 60 seconds for Kelce to get his next and final catch for 15 yards and 3 points total

20 points behind with the 49ers OL, Big Larry Ogunjobi and Kwon Alexander left. It was not looking good, certainly advantage Bulldogs.

But things can change quick and an 83yd TD on the first 49ers offensive play put me right back in it. And indeed it was in the balance all the way to the close and the final 6 minutes when 3 quick tackles by Ogunjobi and 30 yards of runs gave Lionhearts the win the 5 points.

What a game – and the Lionhearts roll on to 3-2 and their best players haven’t really shone yet
