Crusaders Hold Off Bulldogs

Published: Sep 22, 2020

Going into Monday night it looked like Adam might be able end his losing streak.  His British Bulldogs only trailed the Crusaders by 3.  Both teams had two players to go, one on offense and one on defense.  Alas, it was not to be.  Darren Waller (TE-LV) posted over one hundred yards, 12 receptions and a touchdown for 18 points, for the Crusaders.  While Emmanuel Sanders (WR-NO) didn't show up for the Bulldogs.  So at the end of the game the Crusaders emerged with a 70-54 victory.  They advance to 2-0, while the Bulldogs fall to 0-2.  Jon has now won 10 of his last 11 regular season games.

Two other games saw 1-0 teams advance to 2-0 at the expense of an 0-1 team.  The Amish Electricians defeated the Gallic Warriors, 57-44.  The Amish have now defeated the Warriors in three straight meetings.  In a rematch of the playoffs Testudos Revenge beat Richard's Lionhearts 67-20.  These two franchies are now 6-6 vs each other all-time.

The Norsemen recovered from their unexpected defeat in week 1, with a 76-27 victory over the Sacks on the Beach.  The Norsemen netted a strong 101 on offense led by Patrick Mahomes (QB-KC) and Alvin Kamara (RB-NO) and 40 on defense behind Zach Cunningham (LB-HOU).

The Fighting Squirrels posted a dominating 125 offensive points with over 33 and 35 points being scored by Dak Prescott (QB-DAL) and Aaron Jones (RB-GB).  Totaling 140 points, the most Brian has scored since taking ownership.  Warren was able to keep the game closer because of Josh Allen's (QB-BUF) 34 points.  But ultimately Brian won 89-57.

In the final game, Sean Taylor's Ashes were able to hold off the MeggaMen for a 20-14 victory.  Don has now defeated Tom in three straight seasons and advances to 2-0 for the first time, and the franchise's first time since 2012.
