In a Burgundy Division battle the Norsemen were looking to gain some ground on the division leaders.  A stellar perfomance by Patrick Mahomes (QB-KC) helped Byron gain a 64-6 victory over Sean Taylor's Ashes.  The Norsemen are now 5-3 and hold the league's best power rating, by far.  The STA have now fallen in two straight games with a huge week 9 game approaching.

Speaking of which, in the pitful game of the week, the Amish Electricians were able to manage on 69 points but escaped with a 16-1 victory over the British Bulldogs.  The win moves them into first place overall with a 7-1 record.  And sets up next week's battle for control of the Burgandy Division.  The Amish at 7-1 vs the STA at 6-2.  An Amish win gives them a massive 2 game lead, while a STA win will make the stretch run very exciting, especially with the Norsemen potentially only a game back.

In the Gold Division, the Crusaders extended their lead to two games, with a 53-0 shutout of Testudos Revenge.  It is Hall's first ever win over his brother-in-law, ending his four season losing streak to the Testudos.

Elsewhere in the Gold, the Fighting Squirrels remained in second with a 45-5 win over the Gallic Warriors.  Chris' hopes of avoiding the Toliet Bowl are fading.  Warren and his Trump Molests Collies were able to pull off a victory over the MeggaMen, 28-13.

The race in the White Division is very tight.  The Sacks on the Beach fell to Richard's Lionhearts, 26-14, leaving them at 4-4.  With the other three teams also losing this week, they all sit at 3-5.  This week the MeggaMen and the Sacks meet, while the Bulldogs take on the Norsemen and the Testudos face the TMC.  We'll see if there is a four way tie at the end.
