Amish Clinch Division
The Amish Electricians lucked into another win and clinched a playoff berth beating Richard's Lionhearts, 20-13. They scraped by on Monday night with a bizzare stat line by the Rams OL, who scored five by not giving up any sacks but also didn't run the ball. The Amish see their luck rating continue to increase to atmospheric levels at over 4.5 wins above what their scores should predict. But they head to the playoffs for their record extending 18th time.
The big game of the week was between the Norsemen and Sean Taylor's Ashes. The Norsemen were looking to put a choke hold on the wild card race and remain with striking distance of the division. The STA were hoping to end their four game slide and avoid another late season collapse that the franchise (pre Don's ownership) was so well known for. The Ashes got a reprieve behind the Kirk Cousins (QB-MIN) to Adam Thielen (WR-MIN) connection, eaching scoring over 20 points and propelling them to a 51-43 win. With the Norsemen loss, the Amish also clinch the division for the 10th time.
In the Gold Division the Fighting Squirrels remain in hot pursuit of the Crusaders. They defeated the Testudos Revenge, 72-34, for the fifth straight time. The Crusaders shutout the Trump Molests Collies, 32-0. In effect ending Warren's playoff chances (he still has a path but it requires very specific results in 14 out of the remaing 18 games, and for a federal judge to throw out the Pennsylvania election results, yet he still won't concede). The Crusaders hold on to a single game lead for the time being. Even if they extend that this week the earliest they lock up the division is next week.
The White Division remains an open battle, but it did gain some clarity. The Sacks on the Beach beat out the Gallic Warriors, 43-32 to stay atop the division. While the MeggaMen more than doubled up the British Bulldogs, 52-25, to eliminate the Bulldogs and remain within a game of the Sacks. The Testudos loss doesn't eliminate them from the divisional race, but it makes the path much harder. They do have games remaining against both the Sacks and the MeggaMen. The Sacks and the MeggaMen play this week, a win would put the Sacks on the edge of the division title with a 2 game lead, but they still wouldn't control the tie breaker so they would have a wait a bit longer.
