Week 5 roundup

The best OL going
Published: Oct 08, 2024

I’m not 4-1 very often so let’s get this documented in history with a quick matchweek roundup

Meggamen 54 (1-4) Norsemen 0 (3-2)

Congrats to Meggamen for getting off the mark this year. Things have been a bit wobbly but a dominant performance with 7 double digit performers. Hill and Wilson on the bench s not something we would have expected in favour of triple GB offence but it worked this week. TNF was as good as it got for Norsemen with Koo scoring 17 points, but that was nearly 30% of his team points.

Amish Electricians 21 (3-2) Crusaders 21 (2-3)

Amish kind of snuck a victory here with a fairly low score. Danny Dimes for the Giants was top scorer with 16 points. Pretty flat display by the Crusaders who are on a 3 game skid. Mahomes threw well but no TDs. DK Metcalf fumbling and how great individual performers. A tight battle in this division

Testudos Revenge 76 (3-2) ANBAJT 38 (2-3)

Exception performance by TR. 62 points across the 3 WRs of Chase, London and Robinson….tough to beat, and that led to 109 points on offense alone. ANBAJT a bit unlucky this week, breaking 100 points in total but losing. 5 players hit double digits including top scoring for DJ Moore but just came up against a force this week

Trump Molests Collies 42 (4-1), Sigourney’s Beaver 0 (2-3)

Tee Higgins, Roschon Johnson and Brock Bowers all had storming days to setup an easy victory for TMC. Beaver never got going with 3 duck eggs over his WRs and RBs and then -4 for the Cleveland OL

British Bulldogs 76 (2-3), Gallic Warriors 37 (1-4)

Great win from my antipodean friend. And all it took was a last minute Kirk Cousins pickup – 500 yards and 35 points. And if Aiyuk can maintain his form things will be looking up. Gallic Warriors, I think I’d be a Gallic Worrier. Pretty one dimensional performance outside of Lamar Jackson’s 31 points and they take on high flying Lionhearts next with the worst record in the league

Richard’s Lionhearts 22 (4-1), Sacks on the Beach 4 (3-2)

The top top teams in the league faced off this week and the Lionhearts came out on top. People say I’m a 1 man team. Incorrect I’m a 5 man team and fortunately all 5 of these men play on the Ravens offensive line. Another good showing by Murray – he’s mint at QB and the one good Browns player (JOK) got me over the line. SotB had a poor week with Cook and Love showing up but not much else.
